Here to Make You Look Better

Welcome to the fourth Industrial Workforce Program Newsletter.

Three cohorts down this year, with number four wrapping up at the end of the month. Our people are picking up real skills and getting hired. We'll break down the details below, plus fill you in on our latest award and some tips to step up your fashion game.

GRADUATE SPOTLIGHTS

Our graduates are already out there making it happen. Here's where they landed:

CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM

Tia H. - Starting a 2-year welding program at San Juan College this August. Isaac T. - Working for Stewart Brothers Drilling Company in Milan. Joshua C. - Hired at Gallup Portable Storage. Krystin D. - Taking welding classes at UNM.

Darrick N. - Darrick's path took a bit longer, as he graduated in August of 2024, we stayed in touch, helped him track local opportunities - and ultimately he landed a construction position with SWIF in April.

AUTOMOTIVE PROGRAM

Alex - Started at Rico's on May 12th. Lacey L. - Working at Champion Ford. Joshua J. - Joined the crew at 66 Customs.

These folks put in the work during training and it's paying off. Whether they're starting careers or heading back to school for more training, they're all moving forward.

AWARDS

RECOGNITION WHERE IT'S DUE

IWP just picked up another award. The Greater Gallup Economic Development Corporation honored us during their Business Awards Luncheon for our work building a skilled workforce in McKinley County.

This adds to our collection - we've now earned recognition from the IEDC for best use of federal resources, the Construction Users Roundtable for workforce development excellence, and now GGEDC for strengthening local job pipelines.

The bottom line: Our graduates are getting solid jobs, local businesses are finding the skilled workers they need, and families are building better futures. That's what matters.

WHAT'S NEXT?

New Cohorts: We are starting an automotive cohort on August 4th and a construction cohort on September 8th. Share this with a friend who might be interested.

Thanks for backing the IWP community

We're building something solid here - a place where hard work, skill, and determination pay off. Whether you're a graduate making moves, someone thinking about applying, or an employer who hires our people, you're part of making this work.

Best regards,
The IWP Team
