For 12-weeks, our students work through a program centered around the NCCER Core curriculum, gaining exposure and training in a wide range of technical construction skills, and non-technical employmement skills critical for any line of work.

How many programs
do you run each year?
We currently hold 3 classes a year, but we hope to expand in future years.
When are the programs?
The first starts in January and goes to April.
The second goes from May to August.
The Third goes from September to November.
How long is each
program?
12-weeks.
How many people
are in a class?
Usually we cap out around 15.
Who can join?
Any resident of New Mexico.
Even residents of other states can join the program, but they need to meet certain eligibility requirements to obtain free access to the program.
Most applicants will be eligible, so just reach out see if you qualify.
Is the program free?
Almost all applicants will be eligible for free access to the program through funding from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
Those who are not eligible for free access can pay $12,500 to join the Construction program.

Where do the classes
take place?
Classroom instruction and job-site training at SWIF’s construction sites.
Will I be paid?
Up to 20 hours a week of on-jobsite pay will be available through our sponsors to qualifying low-income applicants.
